Pre-school Gymnastics

Introduction

Our Preschool programme introduces little ones to the joy of movement in a safe, exciting and supportive setting.

We have both structured and unstructured gymnastics classes for pre-school children. We have two types of structured classes: MiniFUN and MiniSkills, both geared to fit the British Gymnastics early years milestones. We run over 20 sessions during daytimes on Monday-Saturday: select "Find a Class" below to view the timetable and book a class.

  • MiniSkills Independent – Structured independent classes for children ready to participate on their own, aimed at those starting school in the next school year.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign my child up?

Use this link here to sign your child up. Select the class you are interested in and then select either "trial" or "monthly" option. A trial costs £10 and gives you the chance to try the class before committing. Some classes will be full so if you are interested in that class you will need to join the waiting list. Please note that a direct debit form needs to be completed to sign up to the waiting list, but you won't be charged until your child has a place.

Do I need to pre-book for the drop in classes?

Yes - we now require all drop in classes to be pre-booked. Sign up here ahead of the session.

Does my child need insurance?

Yes, you will need to purchase insurance from British Gymnastics for your child to be able to attend a regular class. For gymnasts in any of our recreational classes, a Community Membership is required. For those competing your coach will advise you on the most suitable membership. For our drop in sessions, no British Gymnastics membership is required.

What should my child wear to their sessions?

A leotard isn’t compulsory; if your child does not own one then they can attend the session wearing comfortable clothing that doesn’t restrict their movement. Shorts or leggings and a tucked in t-shirt are suitable for all general classes. For trampolining, your child will also need to wear socks.

Crop tops and hooded tops are not allowed. Fancy dress should be minimal. Hair should be tied back and all jewellery removed (or taped if removal is not possible)

Can I bring a younger sibling along to the pre school class?

Yes, under 2s are allowed to come onto the gym floor with the parent but they won't be able to join in with the session and must be supervised at all times.
